ELE Consulting’s clients do interesting things to make the world a better place. Here are some of the programs we have worked with.

Oregon State Service Corps

The American Red Cross Cascades Region contracted with ELE Consulting to evaluate its Oregon State Service Corps (OSSC) program. OSSC is a State and National AmeriCorps program funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). ELE Consulting worked with Portland State University (PSU) as a subcontractor in carrying out the evaluation. As part of their service, OSSC members trained community members throughout the state in disaster preparedness to enable residents and communities to become more resilient in the face of impending disaster. ELE Consulting also provided technical assistance to help OSSC maximize utilization of the evaluation findings in support of ongoing program improvement.

Prince of Wales (AK) Wellness Coalition

ELE Consulting is evaluating the Prince of Wales Island (AK) Wellness Coalition. The Coalition is funded by a Comprehensive Behavioral Health Prevention and Early Intervention grant from the State of Alaska, Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Behavioral Health. During the first year of the grant ELE Consulting conducted a needs assessment in six communities on the island, followed by a community readiness assessment regarding the prioritized need in each community. ELE is providing evaluation technical assistance during the second year of the grant.

Ketchikan (AK) Wellness Coalition

ELE Consulting provided evaluation training and technical assistance to the Ketchikan (AK) Wellness Coalition. The Coalition is funded by a Comprehensive Behavioral Health Prevention and Early Intervention grant from the State of Alaska, Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Behavioral Health. The training and technical assistance focused on evaluation methods, needs assessment, and community readiness assessment.

Prince of Wales (AK) Health Network

ELE Consulting provided evaluation services to the Prince of Wales Island (AK) Health Network in support of its Rural Health Network grant from the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). ELE Consulting prepared the evaluation plan, facilitated strategic planning and sustainability planning, conducted a youth survey regarding screen viewing time, and provided ongoing technical assistance regarding grant implementation and evaluation.

Oregon Healthy Communities Program

Under subcontract to Rede Group, ELE Consulting was a member of the team that evaluated the Oregon Health Authority’s (OHA) Healthy Communities Program. The Healthy Communities Program worked to develop and implement policy, systems, and environmental changes that encourage healthy behaviors. The team took a utilization-focused approach for this evaluation.

Organized Approaches to Increase Colorectal Cancer Screening (OR)

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Public Health Division received a cooperative agreement funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Colorectal Cancer Control Program (CRCCP) to implement organized approaches to increase colorectal cancer screening. OHA is implementing Component 1 of the program: Health Systems Change to Increase and Improve Colorectal Cancer Screening. ELE Consulting prepared the evaluation plan for OHA’s cooperative agreement to implement this program.

Regional Employment-Based Treatment Program (AK)

ELE Consulting conducted a feasibility study for an innovative regional employment-based treatment program. The study was funded by the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority through a grant to Eastern Aleutian Tribes (EAT).
